Excited about Autolux

“Future Perfect”, Autolux’s 2005 release, is, in my mind, a musical masterpiece. Reminiscent of 70’s psych, shoegazer indie, and 90’s grunge. They’re working on and should have completed their new album to be released sometime this summer. Can’t wait!!! Did I mention Carla is an incredible drummer and hot to boot? RIYL: The Letters Organize – Dead Rhythm Machine

RIYL: Recommended (because) I really Like (it).
Awesome debut full-length from a now-defunct Atlanta punk band. In the vein of Refused’s “The Shape of Punk to Come”. No, I’m not kidding! Also a la The Bronx. On Nitro Records.

Thank Screeching Weasel for ruining my ability to process song structure as a musician I guess. I got a listen to their upcoming release “We Were Dead [...]

Lifetime – Lifetime (2007, Decaydence)

I’m just going to cut to the chase: I f**king LOVE Lifetime, ever since I first heard “Hello Bastards” on a record player sitting on the floor in Brandon D’Agostino’s bedroom in 11th grade. Great album. Changed the way I played guitar. Followed by “Jersey’s Best Dancers” which is another phenominal recording, and is in [...]
